About

Patrin Foundation is a collaborative project, founded by co-directors Lisa Smith + Imogen Bright Moon in 2023.

The vision for Patrin Foundation began in 2022 from a need to create space for Romani creative expression and project-based offerings which provide access, flexibility and a dedicated legacy for our collective works, and representation into the future.

Recognising artistic voice and a strong visual culture, Patrin Foundation aims to nurture and amplify contemporary modes of expression through visual arts, film and crafts. We achieve this by building on strong foundations of primary research, writing, consultancy, networking and partnering with museums, curators, heritage and arts organisations, and international film festivals.

Patrin Foundation has a umbrella-network structural approach; supporting, amplifying and representing our intersectional creative talents cross-community, providing the perfect platform to grow our vision and connect with historic and contemporary Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) advocacy; and Equity, Diversity + Inclusion (EDI) reform projects, in the UK and internationally.

If you would like to be added to our list of network partners, please make yourself known to the team by email, we would love to hear from you!

Patrin Foundation is actively seeking funding to offer bursary training opportunities through our supporting partners, ensuring we sow very practical seeds for the next generation to harvest; we want to hear from philanthropic funding providers to support our future-facing projects to invest in young people and their arts training;
